English singer, Florence Welch, wasn’t always one of the most popular international musical acts, matter of fact, after being encouraged by her grandmother to begin pursuing music, she witnessed her parents get divorced which resulted in her mother eventually marrying her next door neighbor and also witnessed her grandmother, who had bipolar disorder, commit suicide at the tender age of 13-years-old. Her band Florence + The Machine’s career was launched when their debut album, Lungs, became critically acclaimed and she’s thrived in the music realm ever since.Coincidentally, Florence Welch and another strong woman happen to be doppelgangers, who goes by the name of Joan of Arc who helped free the French from British control. Unfortunately, Joan was apprehended and handed over to the English in 1430 and the following year, Joan of Arc was burned at the stake at the tender age of 19-years-old. Florence might have had a tremulous youth but at least she didn’t go out like Joan.
Even at the age of 51-years-old, there’s no stopping us from wanting to drink Halle Berry’s bath water or sniffing her seat after she gets up but despite her appealing looks, Berry has struggled in her personal life with men. Fortunately for her, she hasn’t struggled as much with her lucrative acting career, Halle Berry has starred in films like Gothika, Perfect Stranger, 007: Die Another Day, Kidnap, Swordfish, Monster’s Ball, and of course the X-Men series where she stars as the mutant superhero Storm.Luckily, past generations have had their own version of Halle Berry with her doppelganger, Dorothy Dandridge who not only was a renowned actress but a strong vocalist who performed at notorious venues like the Cotton Club and the Apollo Theater. Dandridge was also the first African-American woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress which earned her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unfortunately, Ms. Dandridge died of mysterious circumstances at the age of 42. Both Berry and Dandridge will forever be known for their beauty and talent.
