Onscreen Chemistry: Best Hollywood Co-stars

Spread the word if you like it! 😉

Kristen Wiig & Bill Hader

Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader are another comedic duo that started as Saturday Night Live co-stars. They both joined this show at the same time, and starred in dozens of memorable sketches we enjoy re-watching to this day.

SNL cast members have a tendency to band together, so it didn’t come as a surprise to see these two opposite each other in other projects. They teamed up on the set of several hit movies while still starring on Saturday Night Live, including Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Despite the fact Wiig and Hader often starred in the same projects, they mostly didn’t share a lot of screen time. That changed in 2014, when they were both cast as leads in indie dramedy The Skeleton Twins.

This film proved to be a perfect fit, since they already had a brother-sister vibe in real life, and this familiarity helped them easily slip into their characters. This project was much more dramatic than most of the material Hader previously worked on, but he felt safe with Wiig by his side because she always had his back.

Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart

The friendship between The Rock and Kevin Hart is pretty fresh, but it feels like they’ve known each other since the beginning of time.

The two met at an awards show, but knew they wanted to work with each other long before this surprising encounter.

An opportunity finally arose in 2016, when they both starred in action comedy Central Intelligence. This film was pretty divisive and didn’t exactly wow the critics, but it earned an impressive sum on the box office and proved the world they are a well-matched comedic duo.

Johnson and Hart reunited a year later on the set of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and a sequel of this action flick is coming our way soon.

We can’t wait to find out what the future holds for these two, but we’re hoping that their bond will never be broken.

“I’ve never had this type of brotherly chemistry with anyone that I’ve worked with and it’s a cool thing. If we never do another movie again, then I know I got a brother for life who I have this crazy chemistry with,” said Johnson.
