Sarah Michelle Gellar – Then

Sarah Michelle Gellar is perhaps best known for her role in Joss Whedon’s groundbreaking, genre-bending TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer – but she was already famous before it started, for her role as Kendall Hart, the long lost daughter of Erica Kane in the soap opera All My Children – a role which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award at the young age of 18.

Following All My Children, Gellar landed the role of Buffy Summers, the teenaged Vampire Slayer in what would become one of the late ’90s and early 2000s most popular shows, gaining cult status and widespread critical acclaim.

In the mid-2000s, Gellar veered away from acting, and even began an entrepreneurial career by co-founding a company called Foodstirs – a culinary startup which made baking kits for kids – but in recent years we’ve seen her return to acting. 

In January 2019 it was announced that she will appear in the series Sometimes I Lie, based on the bestselling book of the same name and produced by both Gellar and Ellen DeGeneres in associated with Warner Bros. Television.

Gaby Hoffman – Then

Gaby Hoffman was a child actress for most of the ’90s, having made memorable appearances in films like Field of Dreams alongside Kevin Costner, and in Uncle Buck, where she worked with fellow up-and-coming child actor, Macaulay Culkin of Home Alone fame.

She also appeared in Sleepless in Seattle alongside Tom Hanks, and in The Man Without a Face with Mel Gibson. 

As a teen, she appeared in Woody Allen’s Everyone Says I Love You, as well as in Volcano and 200 Cigarettes.

Gaby Hoffman – Now

After a break for college, and a 4-year stint in New York working in theatre, Hoffman returned to Hollywood. In addition to film roles in movies like Life During Wartime, the thriller 13, starring Mickey Rourke, and starring in Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus alongside costar Michael Cera, Hoffman has made numerous and very memorable guest appearances in the critically acclaimed dramedies, Louie and Girls, as well as on HBO’s High Maintenance and Amazon’s Transparent.
